Firefly WRF (aka “Firefly”) is by the imported dressage-bred Hanoverian stallion Faramund, standing at Zaragoza Acres (VA) and competing in upper level eventing, and out of our black Oldenburg mare DeSonya MTF. DeSonya MTF has produced 3 premium foals to date. She is half sister (dam side) to the popular eventing horse Lysander, competed by Doug Payne through the current 4* level. Firefly is a superbly athletic young mare loaded with personality and charm. She has four white socks and a beautiful face with large star and inquisitive eye, and she is a gorgeous mahogany bay color likely to mature around 16.1-2H. Firefly has been well-handled since birth, and is well prepared for her start under saddle as a 3 year old having been worked consistently from the ground including lunging under tack.

Faramund offers a strong pedigree featuring some of the most sought-after Westphalian, Hanoverian, and Oldenburg bloodlines for sport. Sire Fidertanz (Fidermark I – Ravallo) was proclaimed Champion of the 2004 Westphalian licensing, won his 30-Day Stallion Test, and was Vice Bundeschampion of the Three-Year-Old Riding Stallions in 2005. Successful through Grand Prix Dressage, Fidertanz has gone on to even further acclaim as a sire: over 30 licensed stallion sons, Elite Mare Show champions, Bundeschampions, auction price highlights, and several offspring at the FEI levels of Dressage including the Grand Prix stallions Franziskus and Foundation.
